My 2016 Persons of the Year

As the year 2016 is fast going and will be collapsing into a new year in few hours from now, some people, within the year, made news and headlines that reverberated across the nation and kept tongues waggng for days and weeks. Some happened within Nigeria, while others internationally.

For their successes and, some, for their bravery and courageous acts of not giving up, I tag these people CNB (Chike Nnamani's Blog) 2016 Persons of the Year. Below are their names and why they made the list:

There are wild jubilation among Biafrans on social media amidst report that their Radio Biafra London (RBL) facebook page, which was taken down 7 days ago by the facebook management in connivance with the Nigerian government, has been restored. According to CNN Money, the Facebook founder suffered a $3 billion loss in the value of his Facebook stock on Thursday, one of the largest single-day losses ever for an individual investor.

Facebook (FB, Tech30) shares plunged 5.5% after the chief financial officer warned investors that the company expects revenue growth from advertising to "come down meaningfully."

A popular facebook page owned by the Indegenious People of Biafra (IPOB) has been taken down by the facebook team this morning.

The facebook page, which rallies all Biafran agitators across the globe around, had almost 1 million page "likes" before its removal.

Thousands of years ago, a wise man observed an 'evil' happening under the sun and a 'sort of error' that arises from a king. He said that fools are placed in many high positions over the knowledgeable ones that merited it. And that slaves ride on horses while princes, who obviously own the horses, were forced to walk on foot like slaves. 

Unfortunately, this is the Nigerian situation today.
