How Turkey Was RUGA-D into an Islamic country

... a warning to Nigerian Christians

The city of Constantinople, the present day Istanbul, Turkey, was the capital of the Byzantine empire which ruled the world for almost 1,500 years long before Islam was birthed.

Emperor Constantine, who ruled from the city of Constantinople, was the one that made Christianity a State religion in his empire.

The  first Council of Nicaea, a gathering of Bishops where the statement of Christian belief or Canon of doctrinal orthodoxy known as the Nicene Creed was made, was convened in Nicaea - a city in the present day Turkey, in 325 AD.

The Ephesians we read in the bible today were people who lived in Ephesus, a city in the present day Turkey. Infact Apostle John is reputed to have taken Virgin Mary to Ephesus, where she spent the last days of her life in a small house, known as the House of the Virgin Mary.

Antioch, a city where the followers of Jesus Christ was first called 'Christians' in the bible, is in the present day Turkey.

Turkey is also home to the Seven Churches of Asia reported in the book of Revelation, where the Revelation was given to John at the Island of Patmos to send a message to them. The churches include: The church in Ephesus, Smyrna, Pergamum, Thyatira, Sardis, Philadelphia, and Laodicea.

The Fall.

The Fall of Constantinople even happened on a Pentecost Sunday on 29 May, 1453, after a 53-day siege by the Othoman Islamic army led by Sultan Mehmed II.

Sultan Mehmed, a leader of the Othoman forces which situated at the border of Turkey, commenced the siege with a large army. The city was surrounded by sea and land (just as it will be done from the RUGA settlements).

After a 53-day conquest, Constantinople fell. And Mehmed quickly transferred his kingdom to Constantinople and established the Othoman empire.

Hagia Sophia, the world's biggest church in Turkey instituted by Apostle Peter, was converted to Othoman Imperial Mosque the same year. It remained a mosque for almost 500 years up until 1931 when it was converted to a museum.

Today Turkey is an Islamic country with 99.7% Muslims.
