Hon Patrick Obahiagbon, the English trotting parlianmentarian, who was at the Federal House of Representatives from 2007 - 2011, and currently the Chief of Staff to Gov Adams Oshiomohle of Edo State, speaks on Prof, Iyayi"s death:

"The grand initiation of Professor Festus Iyayi is a lancinating loss of another stentorian voice, against retrograde and prebendal forces of primitive mercantilism. That he passed through transition on matters pro bono publico, bears eloquent testimony to our state of dystopia.Such is the evanescence of life. Its all vanitas vanitatum...."

Prof. Festus Iyayi, a former President of the Academic Staff Union of Universities, died on Tuesday in a ghastly auto accident involving the Kogi State Gov. Idris Wada, along the Lokoja-Abuja Express Way.
