Boko Haram: Group raps North for sabotaging Jonathan’s effort

ABAKALIKI—Youth leader of Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in Ebonyi State, Chinedu Ogah, has called on Northern leaders and politicians to stop sabotaging President Goodluck Jonathan’s efforts at ending Boko Haram insurgency in the country.
The youth leader made the call yesterday while fielding questions from journalists in Abakaliki.
He stated that the Boko Haram sect was killing innocent Nigerians because of an existing conspiracy against President Jonathan’s presidential ambition in 2015.
According to him, nobody can stop Jonathan from contesting the forthcoming general election.
Ogah argued that if the Boko Haram insurgency remained in existence till next year’s election, the constitution of Nigeria would empower the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, not to conduct election in the affected states in the country, which would favour Jonathan’s return to power.
He called for a more effective collaboration between all the Northern leaders and security agencies deployed in their area to forestall the brutal killing of innocent lives and destruction of properties by the deadly Islamic sect.
“The more the Boko Haram insurgency remains, the more the constitution of Nigeria will not allow election to hold in that place and President Jonathan will continue to be the President of this country.

”What are the governors of the North doing to end the insurgency?
