One Nigeria Is A Crime Against Humanity

No automatic alt text available.

The 'continent' Nigeria is as comedic as is irritating, when you think you have seen it all that's when the scions of Othman Dan Fodio in the northern part of the contraption will bring forth another drama.

This week, the migrants from the Fouta DJallon hills, gathered in Abuja once again and issued another provocative statement, after they have sent a letter to the United Nations, calling upon the UN to proscribe Nnamdi Kanu and IPOB as terrorist organization. (Laughs).

This is a case of a thief who constantly bungles a house while the owner keeps quiet hoping that one day he will have a change of mind. But the more he endures, the more the thief intensified the stealing and pillaging until the owner could no longer bear it and called for the arrest of the thief. Then the thief who have been embolden by his constant stealing now turn around to claim the ownership of the property and, in turn, called for the arrest of the owner of the property.

This is the pathetic case of Nigeria today, and what is manifesting between the Hausa/fulani and the Biafrans. The terrorists are now calling those they have terrorised over the years, terrorists. It is on record that Boko Haram and the Fulani Herdsmen, which reside in the north, are the first and fourth most deadly terrorist organisation in the world, respectively. More deadly than ISIS.

Apart from the Jewish holocaust, the next greatest crime against humanity is the amalgamation of the southern and northern protectorate. This alone has seen the massacre of over 5 million Biafrans since inception through various religious conflicts, jihad, pogroms, civil war, alleged blasphemies, maitatsine, Boko Haram and the current rampaging Fulani herdsmen, all in a bid to keep Nigeria one.

If I may ask what is so special in keeping Nigeria one? In 2013, I made a very interesting observation when our leaders were busy gallivanting and wasting our billions of naira in the name of centenary celebration. I was watching the event on air, and observed that all they were celebrating as success was that after 100 years Nigeria still remained "One". Oh my God! Who did this thing to us? What is so special in keeping Nigeria one without any development? What is wrong with African leaders, biko?

Even Sir James Robertson, the last British Governor General confessed in 1974 after he left Nigeria, that Britain underestimated the power of ethnicity in amalgamating Nigeria. In order to support his claim, he quoted copiously from his 1956 diary. And had this to say about the North and South in general:

"The general outlook of the people (north) is so different from those in the southern Nigeria as to give them practically nothing in common."

Comparing two European countries and Nigerian ethnic nationalities, Sir James noted in his diary:

"There is less difference between an Englishman and Italian, both of whom have a common civilisation based on Greek and Roman foundations and on Christianity, than between a Muslim villager in Sokoto, Kano, or Katsina and an Igbo, Ijaw or Kalabari."

Posing a rhetorical question on the dilemma faced by him and the future Nigerian leaders who want to build Nigerian nation, he noted:

"How can any feeling of common purpose of nationality be built up between people whose culture, religion and mode of living is completely different?"

Also, it might interest you to know that all former British colonies, whose heterogeneous nations were forcefully amalgamated by Britain for ease of administration, have all separated peacefully and are doing well, except in Africa.

In South Asia, India, Bangladesh and Pakistan were all colonised by Britain as one colony, but at their independence in 1947, Bangladesh broke out, followed by Pakistan. Today India is doing well.

Similarly, Malaysia and Singapore were a colony of Britain. After the federation of Malaya got her independence in 1957; they realised they couldn't co-habit with one of her states, and in 1965 Singapore was released. Today both of them are doing great.

In the Middle East, Jews were once held up together with their Arabian neighbours by Britain, after the Ottoman rule. Soon after, the Jews in 1948 crystallised themselves and formed a near homogeneous State, Israel, becoming one of the most powerful nations in the world today.

But in Nigeria, after the Ishmaelites got power from the British manipulators, they are neither interested in developing the country nor in uniting it. They have never implemented any resolutions reached by various ethnic nationalities on how they can co-habit together. Rather their only mission is to enslave and Islamize other parts of the country, and to "dip the Koran in the sea" (a euphemism to spread Islam across the Southeast and the riverrine areas of the Niger Delta).

Funny enough even during the criminal amalgamation, a 100-year unification experiment was proposed for and adopted. Which means that the country had long expired, waiting for its renewal or break-up. But Arewas are recalcitrant and are following in the footsteps of their leader, Ahmadu Bello, in ensuring injustice and slavitude of other ethnic nationalities. Remember it was Ahmadu Bello who at Independence warned them:

"This new nation called Nigeria should be an estate of our great grand father Othman Dan Fodio. We must RUTHLESSLY prevent a change of power. We use the minorities in the north as willing tools and the south as a conquered territory and never allow them to rule over us and NEVER allow them to have control OVER THEIR FUTURE." - Sir, Ahmadu Bello (Parrot Newspaper October 12, 1960).

This will show you that there will never be unity or common purpose of nationality in Nigeria.

Now that we have seen the ancient map of Biafra which was present in the 16th century world map before the British came, the UN should ensure that the demanded referendum is conducted within all the old Biafran territories. Nevertheless, inasmuch as we want to reclaim all the lost Biafran territories, Ndigbo should never make the mistake of begging or coercing our Niger Deltan brothers into the struggle as this can be regarded as slavery too, especially by our enemies. It should be a voluntary thing. Remember that when you help someone into his freedom against his own will, it will be regarded as slavery. During the referendum if they opts in fine, if they pulls out better. Whichever way are going to make the new country better.

Again, referendum and NOT restructuring is what will prevent the imminent collapse of the failed state Nigeria because the power hungry oligarchy has never implemented any resolutions reached on restructuring, the most prominent of which is the Aburi Accord in 1966.

Nevertheless we believe that with the recent increase in the tempo of the agitation both within and outside the country, the UN will soon do the needful in pressuring the Nigerian government to organize a UN monitored referendum for the people to decide where they truly want to belong to, and not to continue to live in an artificial edifice created by Britain and called a nation.
