The Emerging Nation: A Prose

It shall come to pass that in those days a nation shall arise from the east of a region of the earth. It shall bear the insignia of a "rising sun," and its light shall illuminate to the utmost part of the world.

Never again shall its inhabitants move to other regions or foreign lands in search of greener pastures. For the Lord God shall bless the works of their hands in their own land.

Kingdoms, empires and nations that once enslaved their forefathers shall struggle to identify with them, and seek for their help in times of distress.

Never again shall they be cut down, in their own land and in their vine yards, by the enemies who tend their flocks across their land. For they shall be mighty in battle.

Never again shall their harvest and produce be used in feeding their enemies who inhabit the north of the region while the people die in penury. For the Lord God shall ensure the people enjoyed the fruits of their labour.

Their children who learned the wisdom of the land (education/graduates) shall be useful to themselves (employed) thereafter. Those who learned craft shall be supported to stand on their own, while those who served their masters in trade shall be set free at an agreed period with their entitlement.

In those days, they shall freely utilize the gifts and talents that the Lord their God hath given them, without hindrances from their enemies in the north, in making their nation great.

Their army shall be like the army of the ancient Chaldeans, increasing in strength, conquering kingdoms and taking their plunder.

They shall be like my city, Jerusalem, and Zion (Israel), the resting place of my servant, David.

"I will empower them," says the Lord God Almighty, "nations shall see them and rise. They shall lend to many and borrow from none."

Those that curse them shall be cursed, and those that bless them shall be blessed."

I will be their God and they will be my people. They will call upon me and I 'll answer. For in them I 'll display my glory to the entire world."
