Buhari's Speech as a Catalyst for the Imminent Collapse of the Nigerian State

No automatic alt text available.

Nigeria smacks of the highest hypocrisy I have ever seen. If Buhari really went through his speech before reading it out to the nation this morning, then know that the President is not only physically incapacitated but seriously mentally incapacitated.

Going through the speech made in the National broadcast made by President Buhari this morning the 21st of August, 2017, I realized that the 'continent' Nigeria is beyond redemption and is heading for a final destruction. This house has really fallen and each tribe should return to her tents.

Do Nigeria practise feudalism? Even in Tsarist autocracy two people cannot just wake up and determine the future of the country. The Tsar of Russia that tried it in the Russian Empire later had his empire revolted, overthrown and abolished in 1917. Now Buhari even dropped the name of our supreme leader, Chukwuemeka Ojukwu, so that we can take hook, line and sinker of all that he has vomitted, and possibly halt the current agitations for a Biafran State. This is the greatest joke of the century.

Now I'm going to quote copiously from the Punch newspaper of the broadcast so that it won't be that I am misquoting the Lion King. In part, he said:

"In 2003 after I joined partisan politics, the late Chief Emeka Ojukwu came and stayed as my guest in hometown Daura. Over two days we discussed in great depth till late into the night and analysed the problems of Nigeria. We both came to the conclusion that the country MUST remain one and united."

Oh my God, Nigeria is finished! My people this is the speech your  President who just returned from an incomplete medical treatment made: that he and Ojukwu (two individuals) discussed, even as private citizens in way back 2003 about the unity of Nigeria, and concluded that Nigeria must remain one. Incredible!

Let me ask, is the discussion of Buhari and Ojukwu greater than the Treaty of Union in 1706 or the Acts of Union in 1707 enacted by the parliaments of England and Scotland to unite the two kingdoms as one, and bring about the United Kingdom of Great Britain? The answer is No! Yet Scotland has voted in a referendum in 2014 seeking for her Independence from Britain, and they are looking forward to another referendum.

But the returnee Emperor, hypocritically backed by the same evil Britain, is insisting there would be no referendum even in a heterogeneous country like ours. Oh I can see anarchy looming! But lets continue with his broadcast:

"Nigeria's unity is settled and not negotiable. We shall not allow irresponsible elements to start trouble and when things get bad they run away and saddled others with the responsibility of bringing back order, IF NECESSARY WITH THEIR BLOOD."

Now mark the emphasis, "If necessary with their blood." My people this is the speech of a supposedly father of a 'nation' whom we were asked to pray for in London, but returned and started threatening us with blood again. Have you seen it? When people like us say it as we saw it, it will called a hate speech, but the President has just threatened his citizens with blood shed again.

Let me ask, what will prompt a blood shed if the federal government hears the cry of her people and conducts a referendum? Or are they insinuating another genocide? Just because we are asking for a referendum? Which is a recognized right of the indigenous people all over the world?

More homogenous nations have collapsed in the past and are doing well, not to talk of a complex and heterogenous country like Nigeria. Nigeria is more or less a continent. Even the Soviet Union which abolished her absolute monarchy and later rose to the status of world power in the middle of 20th century, later collapsed in 1991 into 19 nations. Then who is Nigeria?

It seems the black man do not like making use of the intellect given to him by God. Why are we this daft? Black leaders saddled with responsibility of protecting blacks from foreigners will turn around to kill this same blacks on the instigation of the said foreigners. Why can't we use our brains for Gods's sake? The late Fela revealed in one of his songs that the West will always choose a man with low mentality and give him high position here so that he can be a puppet in their hands.

We all condemned the former South African apartheid President, Botha, when he said that the intended uprising by the blacks in South Africa will bring out "the beast" in them, but now our so-called returnee President has subtly told us that we going to bring out the beast in him if we continue to demand for the needed referendum, as played with the word, "blood."

Buhari also said that, " The national consensus is that, it is better to live together than to live apart."

Wonderful! And I ask, whose consensus? Who and who made this consensus? When did I concede to live with herdsmen animals who are constantly killing my people with impunity, when?

Nigeria is indeed an evil country. There seems to be high powered media silence in this agitation for a Biafra, A handful of almajiris were rejoicing in Abuja on the presidents return and the whole media were awash that "Nigerians" were happy of that the president has returned. But over 5 million Biafrans gathered in Ekulobia, Anambra State, yesterday to demand for no election unless a referendum date is given, yet for over 24 hrs of the incident no SINGLE national media has aired it. What a shame!

Nigeria is playing with fire and the earlier she realizes that the army of growing youths in the eastern part of the country want a place to call their own, the better for her. I have written an article on The Tragedy of Revolution and it seems the prediction there is coming to pass.  As for me, if they like let them tag me a terrorist and hate speech writer, I'll continue to tell the world of the evil being perpetrated in this dubious entity called Nigeria, once I'm doing it with an open conscience and for the sake of humanity.
